ASNT Training & Certification

NDTech is a certified Level III source for ASNT TC-1A courses in UT, RT, MT, and PT. Custom tailored courses for review, familiarization, and management overview in these areas are also available. In addition, NDTech can provide training in Eddy Current, Acoustic Emission, and Visual Inspection.

Refineries, chemical plants, and other organizations desiring but unable to meet the extensive requirements of ASNT TC-1A Recommended Practices for Ultrasonic (UT), Radiography (RT), Penetrants (PT), or Magnetic Particle (MT) techniques, can now meet most code requirements by establishing a limited ASNT certification category.

This plant inspector status (Level I or Level II) will combine practical components of UT, RT, PT, and MT through lecture and hands-on demonstrations. This training in the four disciplines coupled with appropriate levels of education and experience appear as a realistic approach to a long stranding problem. Inspectors certified in this manner should be competent to oversee contractor personnel and verify that the NDT techniques are being properly applied, and test results are correctly interpreted.
